How to Shoot Fast & Accurate Class
Of all our Pistol Skills Fundamental classes, this is the one everyone wants to take first. Shooting multiple targets quickly and accurately is not only fun but has plenty of real-world self defense purposes if you encounter multiple attackers or intruders. We breakdown how and when to shoot fast, the differences between splits and transitions, and how not to shoot faster than you can accurately put shots on target. In addition, this class introduces the concept of calling your shots that’s explored fully in one of our Pistol Skills Advanced classes.
Our How to Shoot Fast & Accurate class is fast-paced and shows what shooters are capable of and what skills each shooter needs the most practice to shoot even faster. All of the skills from the Basic Pistol Shooting Class are put to the test in these drills. We go over how even a few extra yards in target distance can have a big difference in relation to shooting speed and proper hits. Learn how your stance can make a big difference in wide target transitions and how to lead with your eyes to speed up target transitions. Whether you want to learn competition shooting, improve your defensive skills or be able to record that perfect Instagram shooting video, this class will set you on the right path for fast and accurate shooting.
The How to Shoot Fast & Accurate class is part of our Pistol Skills Fundamentals class series. While fundamentals may seem basic and boring when reading the title, these are the essential shooting skills to master. What separates average shooters from great shooters is their proficiency with the skills taught in our five Pistol fundamentals class series. Our fundamental classes are structured so new shooters can quickly learn the basic skills but designed in a way that seasoned shooters are challenged, allowing them to master the most essential pistol shooting skills.
Even if you have a good grasp of the skills in the class title, we suggest taking all the classes in the Pistol Skills Fundamentals class series to understand and master all the core shooting skills and concepts. The series is separated into 1 Pistol Skills Fundamentals class (4 hours & we recommend taking 1st) and 4 follow-up classes that are 3 hours each. Many instructors teach these skills over a 2-day seminar. While your shooting skills will improve in a 2-day course, we’ve found isolating skills in 1 or 2 smaller classes at a time allows students to practice and enhance the skills learned, allowing a better approach for skill retention and mastery. We offer these classes in our Level 1, 2 and 3 Pistol Self Defense Courses with a discount by taking 2 classes on the same day. While you can take our Advanced Pistol Skills Classes without going through the fundamentals series, we recommend the following classes first.
Shooting Fundamentals Class: Grip, Stance, Aiming, and Trigger Control
How to Draw & Perform Reloads: Strong Side vs Appendix Carry, Safely Drawing the Handgun, and How to Reload your Handgun
